Does anyone know of any good materials/resources to help prepare young gap year people heading to Africa cope (practically, emotionally, spiritually) with the poverty and injustice they will see and encounter around them?
Thanks for your post, Bayata, You might like to check out the Global Hand website to see if there are any such resources mentioned there. http://www.globalhand.org I have friends in the States who have just returned after some years overseas and are in the process of setting up a training centre for just the purpose you are mentioning about preparing folk for short-term exposure. I am happy to link you with them if you like.
Let me know if I can assist any further.... David
