Mike sections like Evangelism, literature, media, Social Concern, Community health, Education, AIDS, Micro Enterprises are segregated then it will be focused interaction. What do others think later it can even be country specific like Afganistan, India as there is no common communication interaction site for the mission community.
To provide an interactive networking space for Christian cross-cultural mission workers and supporters from different organisations, countries and work functions; for them to:
i. Discover and be introduced to each other
ii. Provide mutual support and encouragement
iii. Share professional knowledge and expertise
iv. Explore opportunities for partnership
Have I missed anything? Does anyone else see potential that doesn't fall into one of these areas?
OMF are also running a social network on Ning. We're hoping that we'll be able to:
o Connect people with those who are at the next stage of their mission journey.
o Develop a vibrant volunteer community (resource, train, connect - on and offline)
o Engage volunteers in projects (lending advice, skills, creating mobilisation/media tools)
o Follow up short-termers and enable them to share with other short and long-termers
o and ... develop in ways that we haven't seen yet
