Operation World says there are (were) 10,654 UK missionaries in 183 agencies in 198 countries. Anybody got any idea whether that figure is increasing or decreasing?
Are there any statistics on how many independents there are, and whether that number is increasing?
Too Valuable To Lose says there is an attrition rate of 5.1% (3.6% avoidable), but that dates from 1992-4. Are there any more up to date statistics, and does anyone have a feel for whether attrition is getting worse?
