Hi all! One of our workers on the field has asked me if I had any feedback on SALT insurance. I see that it is listed with Oscar (so it MUST be top-notch!) :-) But I wondered if anyone had first hand experience of their service. Thanks!

Hi Becky, I used SALT insurance for my travel to South India from January to March 2016. Their price was far cheaper than other quotes I received for the 70+ age group. My stay went without difficulties so I am not able to say how efficient things would be had I need for this. But I will definitely use them again. Hope this helps!

Oh dear! I wrote that 6 years ago! I've been using them for years. I never made a claim so I am sure I'm their favourite client! :-)
I must look into that. we're forever looking for a cheap annual insurance that will allow us to stay longer than 90 days. With Elim insurers we have to be in UK on July 1st when it starts so that doesn't work for us.
Hi Becky just to add an alternative my family and I used masterpolicy.co.uk and found their service phenomenal. Insurance is one of those nasty things that can only be appraised when things go wrong. In this case my family had to be repatriated and some fairly specific emergency medical care arranged. Masterpolicy are underwritten by ACE European so all contact was through them.
I guess my advice is to check on the underwriters.

Yes I have used SALT, just signed up to my second year of health insurence, am in Tanzania and the rates were the best I found, infact there was no increase from 2009-2010.
I havent had to claim yet...so limited experience, thankfully.

We've been insured through SALT insurance for several years. One year we needed to make two medical claims. We found them helpful & efficient.
