    • Hi Alice,
I've listened to all the talks - I agree, really excellent! I loved the way Revd Malcolm Duncan talked about releasing people with disabiltiies into ministry.

Many of the conferences for churches I've been to in the past have given out very practical advice and covered how the DDA mpacts the church - which is really important but these talks seemed to focus more on the deeper things - the heart of the Gospel. Basically - that the church is not whole without people with disabilities.

It kind of balanced out the emphasis from 'people with disabilities need the church so let's be accessible' to 'let's be accessible/inclusive because the church needs people with disabilities'. Just like it needs all backgrounds, ages, cultures in the church's local community .. if that makes sense?

Yep! It was a very encouraging and affirming message for me personally to hear. Thanks to all :-)
