An excellent book for cooking on the mission field is 'More with Less' a world community cookbook by Doris Janzen Longacre.  I've found it really helpful here in Uganda - giving me lots of ideas for cooking with basics.  It's also quite a challenging read for how much we consume foodwise in the west, so I'm hoping that it is a book I'll always turn to, even back in the UK.

I'm not much of a cook (completely outclassed by my spouse!), but I know a good recipe when I taste one! However, just to show that us food 'appreciators' can contribute too, I've added a tip to the Discussion Forum. Anybody else have any tips?
